Lab Director
Dağlar is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at the University of New Hampshire (UNH). He has received his Ph.D. from Rutgers University in Cognitive Psychology, M.A. degree from Bogazici University in Cognitive Science, and B.S. degree from Koc University in in Chemical and Biological Engineering. Before joining UNH, he worked as a Post-Doctoral Associate at the University of Iceland and as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Williams College. He enjoys playing or doing any type of sports. Currently, he is captaining a tennis team that competes in a United States Tennis Association (USTA) league.

Graduate Student
Katrín graduated with a Bachelor‘s degree in Psychology from the University of Iceland in 2022. During her studies as an undergraduate, she worked as a research assistant for the Psychology Department, assisting PhD students with data collection and running experiments. As well as being a research assistant, she volunteered at a non-profit organization for mental health education called Hugrún (Icelandic word meaning brave). The aim of the organization is to educate high school students about mental health, mental disorders, and resources. Currently, Katrin is a graduate student at UNH, focusing on the field of visual perception.

Graduate Student
Eyüp graduated from the Philosophy Department at Istanbul Sehir University and earned his master's degree in Philosophy from Boğaziçi University. Prior to joining UNH as a graduate student, he served as a visiting researcher and teaching assistant at Northeastern University, a researcher at MIT Center for Advanced Virtuality, and a teaching fellow at Harvard University. His research interests include scientific methodologies in visual perception and cognition, ecological perception, mental representation, the philosophy of cognitive science, and phenomenology.

Graduate Student
Akshita graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, in 2022. At UNH, she pursued her Master's in Computer Science, focusing on machine learning and software security. She served as a teaching assistant for C programming and worked as a research assistant in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department, concentrating on fuzzing and hardware security. Akshita is now pursuing her PhD in Psychology as a graduate student in the Vision Lab where she combines her computer science background with her interests in human cognition and visual perception, aiming to develop models that predict the brain's response to visual stimuli and to contribute to our understanding of human behavior. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, crafting, and culinary experimentation.
Lab Manager
Shannon received her undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in French at UNH. Alongside managing the lab, she is also involved with the current study in the Cognitive Science of Religion, investigating categorial preferences of the mind. She enjoys reading fiction, walks with her dog, and running.

Research Assistant
Serena is a senior (4th year) student in the Neuroscience & Behavior Program. She is currently working on a project focusing on how violation-of-expectancy in visual events influences long-term memory.
Research Assistant
Caroline graduated from the Neuroscience & Behavior Program at UNH in May 2024. In the lab, she dedicated her time to investigating a project that aimed to determine whether the way visual information is stored and processed can be explained by probabilistic models. She also worked on a joint project at the "Biomechanics and Motor Control Laboratory", where she investigated the effect of exercise on executive functioning skills.
